Should I click on 'Checkout' ?
I'm planning to buy some phones tonight at the Apple Website . I noticed on other posts that you can force iTunes to restore to 1.0.2 but of course the phones need to have a 1.0.x firmware.
Million dollar question: What are the chances to get a 1.0.x phone. Lets say I buy the phones right now , will I get them with 1.0.x, I already have the order should I click on 'Checkout' or just wait?
Please comment about this, whatever you guys think, I need to be more confident about this.

if you're buying them at an actual store (your post is unclear about how you're going to get them) your changes will be very high in getting a phone with 1.0.x. I would be a little bit more worried about buying them from the apple website.

iPhones get shipped directly from China, where they are produced, to your place.
So, there's no real guarantee when it comes to getting an "outdated" firmware.
My guess is that you'll gonna get something less then 1.1.1, and probably even less the 1.0.2, since it takes a while to update the production assembly line.
It's a bet, but chances are on your side.
I'd say, go for it.
Cheers.

Sorry to bust your buble Shawn but the Apple Stores DO NOT UPDATE THEIR PHONES!!! if the packaging is broken the phone is considered used and the price drops, and by law they can only sell it as used or refurbished and even as a refurbished unit they have to change the packaging.
Stores are not allowed to even open the boxes that come from apple till the shelfs (behind the sales counter) are close to empty and this is for security. and the number of boxes allowed to be open is dependent on how many phones the stores usually sell per day.
