I'm trading my iphone in for some cash and ipod with someone I know.

For cash, I'll have around $325 which I just realized I can buy a bricked iPhone with. Then essentially I'll end up with a free ipod and an iphone again if I can unbrick it+some extra cash. In the end I'll have approximately $175 in value more just for unbricking it.

Do you think I should go for it?

I would get the bricked phone. One method should work. But why hasn't the person you're buying it from tried to unbrick it?

Go for it. I did. Took me about 8 hours to figure how to unlock it since ibrickr didn't work on my computer and it was the first time I touched an iphone lol

They didn't try to unbrick it because they bought it for their son already unlocked and he bricked it trying to put songs on it (updated it). It took me only 30 minutes on my mac to unlock it so I don't see how hard it is to unbrick one. Thanks for the help.
