    Default Serial Connector Schematic

I'm trying to get into the serial console on my iphone and understand everything except that I can't seem to get the setup of the cable right. Does anyone have or know where I could get my hands on an actual schematic for an iphone connector for the serial console? I'm sure somone must have made one somewhere. I have read the text descriptions etc but I am new to this kind of thing and I am getting more than somewhat lost. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think I may have worded my question poorly. Thanks for the help but what I'm looking for is for a schematic of an actual cable. I remember a week or so ago somone saying that they were going to make one and put it up but unfortunately I don't remember who or where. I'm really getting lost with the wiring mainly on how the RS232/TTL converter should be wired up. Thanks.
