About LinkBacksFirst of all, I know a few of you will be telling me to search for it, but I did and I can't seem to find anything that explains it fully.
I just got a 16 GB iPhone, and I am wondering how to transfer my saved text messages from my 8GB to this new one. I really need to find a solution and I would greatly appreaciate any help. Thanks

The iPhone sms application is beyond terrible. I have very small hands, and yet I keep hitting the "Send" button on the upper right hand of the keyboard when I try to type I, O, P or 8, 9, 0.
I tried iSMS and didn't like it.1.1.3 OTB

Haven't Itunes asked you to sync as your previous iphone named "xx"?
If you can do it, it'll sync contacts, call history, sms, bookmarks, everything or almost...
Other breakthru maybe if you are at a PC install PC Suite and you can back up and restore the sms db (but I've tried...so do it at your own risk)macdo

- March08: Restored to 1.1.4 iPlus 2.0 and Sold it

SSH to iPhone and navigate - var/mobile/Library ---> there are SMS Contacts Notes and etc - just drag and drop to desktop or any place on PC or MAC, thnen put back after restore or any mods or updates
Under AddressBook are two files
AddressBook.sqlitedb ---> Contacts
AddressBookImages.sqlitedb ----> Contacts pictures
Under SMS are
