Thats not related to the above problem. Saurik experienced a server problem - that is solved. I dont have any problems using Cydia.
Did you - after a firmware upgrade - "recover data from a backup" in iTunes? It is always best practice to "setup as a new iphone".

There are lots of people having problems with Cydia since yesterday. This has been reported on other forums. I am one of the unlucky ones where mine goes back to springboard too. It must be the new Cydia upgrade, thats all I have installed the past few days.

I am unable to remove Cydia and reinstall it by SSHing to my phone because I have not got mobile terminal installed and cannot install it because Cydia doesnt work.

This problem is on 2 iphones in my family so something weird has happened since yesterday.

I've seen a few posts like this as well

One said deleting the Touch mania and bluetooth project source if you have them, located at "var/lib/lists" fixed this crash & also someone else suggested that removing all the sources from that location & re running Cydia worked.

If you want to try you could use DiskAid but please remember I haven't tried this its just something I read so be careful

Maybe copying the source file/s before you delete it would be a good idea
