File you need to download is the pacay.rar: http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthre...ht=point+click

Extract all files on a folder, that's where activation.bat is.

Hopefully one of you with this 1011 error is on a Mac, in which case, can you try the following for me:

Go into /Applications/ and Right/control-click on the iTunes.app, select "Show Package Contents" from the menu, you'll see the Contents folder in the iTunes package, go into Contents, then into the Resources folder. The file I'm interested in is Recovery.ipsw. Could you use the Get info command on this and report back what size it is.

The reason for me asking this that we know we can download the firmware/software upate for the iphones (there's a link on this thread as to where to get them). I've had a look at my Recovery.ipsw file (128kb) (I changed the extension to .zip then expanded it). There's a Restore.plist file in there, which mentions the version of the software it has, and where the images for the software are located.

My guess is that when you perfom a restore, iTunes will check this file against the server and see if there is a newer version, if there is, it'll download it. Now, my thought is that if you, for example, download 1.0.2, then that'll replace the Recovery.ipsw file that was previously there with the new one, thus if you need to do another restore and there isn't a software update, it does not need to download a 91MB file again just to restore.

Where am I going with this? Well, if what I'm guessing at is true. What you guys with the error could try, is to download, for example, the 1.0.1 software, change the name of the download to Recovery.ipsw and then replace (take a copy of the original first) the Recovery.ipsw file in the iTunes app with the one you downloaded. Make sure you are NOT connected to the internet, thus iTunes cannot check for an update. Then try a restore of the iPhone.

The theory here is that iTunes won't find an update, as it cannot connect to the internet, so it will use whatever software is currently has on disk, which is the Recovery.ipsw file, which we've downgraded to a prior version and then, in theory, the iPhone would be restored to a lower version of the software, and perhaps this might address the 1011 issue. I'm not sure if the software restore process would mess with the baseband or not, which is, I think, what you guys are saying is screwed up.

If you guys have tried something like this already and it does not work, or I'm barking up the wrong tree, then forgive me. I don't have an iPhone so it's not something I can try myself.

Anyone knows if the Dev Team or someone else is working on this issue?

I can't believe that if the SW unlock writes to the Baseband, we can't restore the baseband files

    Some hope, Dev Team, Sam.

PD Anyone knows where to get a cheap commboard?

Has anyone with this issue tried updating to 1.1.1? Will it update the baseband firmware to rid this problem... something to try.

Re.missing files like "bpf0" in /dev: these files are tied to kernel drivers. Odds are that your baseband is not responding and, as a result, the associated /dev files are unavailable. It's the unresponsive baseband that makes the files go away (this is unverified and depends on the system configuration, but it is probable).

Also, people who report this problem should be sure to fully explain what happened to get them into this state. Failing to be precise helps nobody and probably even slows down the process of wading through the reports to figure out what is going on.

Size of all the files under the /dev folder is zero.. I think that the restore failure 1011 denotes the inability to write these files also that are needed for baseband to work..

Can some let us know if this is the case and can we manually restore those files or am i being complete stupid..
