No, and no. We have winterboard now, but it's definitely worth the update to get all the App Store apps.

The JB app flow is down to a trickle now. The app store has attracted many developers, so only the 'rejected' apps are on cydia/installer.

Actually, since I upgraded to 2.1 (2G iPhone) from 1.1.4, reception has become worse. There are several locations where I get "No Signal" where I used to be able to make calls.

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

Hell yeah! 2.1 has been great so far. No probs, and Winterboard's fine. So is iTunes.

Just tried this meathod using Pwnage and followed the instructions on the iclarified link, it seemed to be going successfully until it asked me to pick the restore software, when I picked the software that I downloaded from the link using Firefox, it said that I had picked the wrong software bundle....

I eventually picked the same software that I downloaded earlier using Safari, this seemed to work right up until the end when I recieved an error message saying that my iphone could not be restored!!

Any tips? Am I doing something wrong???
