Is It Safe To Install iTunes To PC To Sync W/ iPhone 2G?
I got a 2G unlocked and jailbroken phone. I got a program called MobilEdit on my PC that allows transfer of contacts to phones. But, the program says I need to install iTunes to the PC for that. Now, if I install itunes to my PC and sync my iphone to it, will the jailbreak and unlock features be removed. Can I safely install iTunes and sync my iPhone without these problems?
Also, can I install old versions of itunes to my PC?

We all use iTunes to sync our unlocked/jailbroken iPhones.
Just go for it!

It's possible the program you're using might request a minimum version of iTunes.
Advice: Before you sync contacts with iTunes, backup the sqlite files of the addressbook. iTunes was created by morons who treat their user like idiots. For example: iTunes might think that the blank contacts list you have on your PC is the up-to-date contacts list and then flash your entire address book that you have on your iPhone.
Backup all files in the following directory: /private/var/mobile/Library/AddressBook
