No problems here. iTunes itself is unlikely to do anything serious to your hacked iPhone... It's an actual iPhone firmware update that we have to watch out for.

The only issue that iTunes 7.4.2 brought was that many user-created ringtones were removed from the iTunes library in the process. Not a direct iPhone impact per se, but it seems apparently that these last couple of updates are trying to close the ringtone loopholes.

Can anyone confirm that ringtones placed on using ibrickr will stay on the phone when using 7.4.2?

While I can't speak specifically for iBrickr, ringtones placed on the iPhone by using most direct-to-iPhone hacks should be just fine.

iTunes 7.4.2 only breaks user-created ringtones that were synced from iTunes via the "Ringtones" tab.

If your iPhone is already unlocked, the only problem you're going to have with iTunes updates may be a FW update.
It also can't be excluded that future iTunes updates may check for a modded FW version and refuse to work with an unlocked iPhone but to be honest: I doubt it.
Apple will only fight back if AT&T and the new international carriers are demanding it, so right now, there is a good chance that everything will work fine and even after a FW update we may get a software unlock update from the Dev Team to unlock our iPhones again. There is no guarantee though and I'm also pretty sure that sooner or later, the "good times" are over and Apple will apply countermeasures to make our our lives much more difficult.

    Til then...enjoy your new freedom.
