Hi Guys,

My issue is that I tried to create a symbolic link from the Downloads directory (/var/mobile/Library/Downloads) to another location. However, the DLplugin gives my a "cannot create folder" error.

Iphone = 3G
FW = 2.2
Jailbroken = Yes
Unlocked = Yes
Safari Download Plug-In = 2.0 (via Cydia)

You might ask why am I moving the downloaded files to another directory. I have another AppStore app (called "Files") which allows me to open all supported file types (mp3, PDF,doc...etc) and I would like to re-direct my downloads to it's application folder.

I know my syntax is OK as I was able to create a symbolic link from the Downloads directory to /tmp and the file was downloaded.

I have changed the permission on the TARGET directory (and all directories behind it) to 777, but with no success.

Some details:

Source Directory (where link exists) =

/var/mobile/Library/Downloads

The TARGET directory =

/private/var/mobile/Applications/26C922DE-F3B8-494A-9812-D0901E7FF500/Documents/Files/Downloads

The syntax I am using to create the link is:

ln -s
/private/var/mobile/Applications/26C922DE-F3B8-494A-9812-D0901E7FF500/Documents/Files/Downloads Downloads

Can you give me any guidance as to what I am be doing wrong or if the plugin can be altered to change the Download directory.

Thanks in advance.
