I guess if you're not with the official carrier this will be a problem, however, for folks like myself, o2 £35/month plan, we just have to hope that the unlimited data usage will still, apply. I reckon without that, then the package will not be so appealing. Anyway, it's still 2 months away, until we get 'OFFICIAL' news of what we will see in the iPhone Gen.2, I'm guessing that if they're making it thinner we won't be getting GPS built-in, but it looks as though the funky little GPS Wi-Fi dongle or plug-in dongle that Nav'n'Go were showing will suffice, who knows, Apple may even try to buy the IP from Gomite for the Wi-Fi version. Just my 2 pence.

im cancelling my vodafone contract, but i use my phone way more for internet than calls, id like a plan where i can just pay about £20, including some sort of bolt on, but i might just go for pay and go

im saving up for a sweet car this year and the next!

actually its not gonna be umts. That's the euro standard (which the 3g iPhone will probably support along with AT&Ts cellular and pcs bands.) T-mo USA is gonna be AWS/1700. Making it one-of-a-kind. Seems like adding support for a band that is only carried by one (UNOFFICIAL) carrier in the world isn't something Apple is likely to do. Which is why people in the us will just have to wait for verizon to switch over to sims and their LTE(4g) network (along with AT&T) before users here really have a choice again... But verizon's time-frame of 4yrs for this to happen, gives enough time for the AT&T/apple 5yr contract to expire. So who knows? By then unlocking won't even be required anymore..

its the way they make ecerything difficult, id jump at a google, microsoft phone if it was near the quality of the iphone, i really think google should give it a go

I am imagining that it will have a thinner and similiar profile to the current ipod and mac air.
