Default [Ringtones] Help me please to customize. Itunes wont add it to ringtones subfolder

I downloaded iringer, and I now have the songs in *.m4r, but itunes wont import them, instead of adding them into the ringtones icon on the left, it adds them into the library, so if i synchronize the phone it wont recognize the ringtones.

    ANy ideas?

Well, if you're on windows, you should go to your (Windows) Music Folder..., then into the iTunes Folder, in my case there was nothing inside...so i had to creater Itunes Music folder, and inside that another one called Ringtones, then add a couple of .m4r inside and double clck them, see if that works

besides, i think there is an iclarified tutorial ..., look for it
    regards

If you're on firmware 1.1.3, just add the *.m4r ringtones to /Library/Ringtones

Your iPhone will automatically pick them up without any further modifications (other than jailbreak).

Thanks man, but I tried it and still itunes plays the song and adds it into the Music subfolder instead of the ringtones one. I also tried the tutorials at iclarified, but it syas nothing if itunes is not importing them to the ringtone, it just takes for granted that itunes will do it

Just SSH into your phone using WinSCP or Cyberduck, usename "root" password "alpine". Then just got straight to the directory.

Default Mac, iTunes 7.6, iPhone 1.1.3

Here is how to do it on Mac, iTunes 7.6, iPhone 1.1.3
    - In Finder under iTunes Music, create a folder named "Ringtones"
    - Select the song you want as a Ringtone from your Library
    - Right-Click (Ctrl-Click) on it and choose "Convert to AAC"
    - Right-Click (Ctrl-Click) on it and choose "Get Info"
    - Under Options Tab select the part of the Song you would like as a Ringtone and save
    - Right-Click (Ctrl-Click) on it and choose "Convert to AAC" again to extract the selected part.
    - Right-Click (Ctrl-Click) and choose "Show in Finder"
    - Move it to your Desktop (!)
    - Rename this File to .m4r
    - Move it to the "Ringtones" folder you created earlier
    - From there move it to your iTunes Library again and it should show up in Ringtones
    - Now you can Sync it or drag it manually to iPhone/Ringtones in iTunes

Yeah just do that to get the ringtones accross or install "SendSong" from the installer to set any MP3, from your ipod library, as your ringtone.
