    Thumbs up Ringtones in 1.1.1**Erica Sadun's SendSong**

    Anyone had any luck with Erica Sadun's sendsong for 1.1.1? I installed it and it will put the song in the ringtone directory but it doesnt play when im called !!Instead it plays marimba!!!!

    Does it have to be a certain file type or something?

    No custom ringtone ability in 1.1.1 is by far the biggest turn off of the upgrade thus far!!!!

    Any Ideas???????

    Default ringtones

    I have kinda the same question. isnt send song used to send an mp3(imported from itunes) not ringtones, through email. I install send song through intaller but it never shows up on my springboard.

    Note: ibrickr is extremely good for importing any mp3 song as a ringtone into your iphone.

    according to the ibrickr web site it does not support version 1.1.1

    It doesnt (yet) So Im assuming he's talking about v1.0.2 !!!! Try reading the post v 1.1.1 and sendsong!! Someone surely has a better way to upload ringtones than the quite lengthy methods Ive seen (maybe not)!!!! Just trying to figure it out any on topic help appreciated!!

    it did that on mine too, but works after a reboot
    thanks erica!
    it only worked with manually installing the latest sendsongs from erica's site the version on installer didn't work

    I did the same thing. Go to her site and download the 0.16 version. I have Windows, so I had to use WinRar to extract the .app from the .tar. You will need to convert the songs you want to use as ringtones to aac, which you can do by right clicking the song in iTunes. Some songs work, some don't. Trial and error my friends! Hope this helps!

    Make sure your filename is very simple. I'm using letters and no spaces, all works for me.
