I'm returning my unlocked iPhone tomorrow. All this Stevedolf Hitler stuff is really just getting on my nerves. I'm going to get a Blackberry 8830 or a T-Mobile Wing instead...

So anyway, I was wondering, do they check the phone for anything in particular? I'm planning on restoring it to original settings prior.

I had a Wing before (not from T-Mobile though), tons of possible screen problems. Get a HTC Trinity same features without the sliding action, and unlock-able built-in GPS.

That's pretty funny, cause I'm going to be getting 2 wings and I want to sell them and get an iphone instead!

If you return it, do they give you cash, or a voucher / whatever?

Why would you return your iPhone? I mean as long as you wait and dont upgrade you will be fine.

As a suggestion: Why you dont wait until the FW update comes and see what happen? And if the hole thing after the update doesnt convince you, you can return your phone. I mean, Apple can say a lot of things and curses that will happen to the "bad guys" but that doesnt mean they will occur.

As of right now there is no plan for Verizon to unlock their phone and I hope....

You can not use the 8830 on GSM in North America. It is not quad-band GSM like the iPhone, only dual band. The 8830 GSM is for the 900/1800 GSM bands. North American uses 850/1900.

Also no camera. Also no coolness.

Sprint was supposed to offer an unlocked one, but I am not sure if it appeared.
