Restoring the baseband
Can someone please link / send me the files to restore my 1.0.2 baseband to the default version? I can't restore with the SimFree unlock, or the free versions. I could use the commands to type, too.
thx

Find iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw on your computer, it will be under iTunes.
Copy it somewhere else and change the extension to .zip from .ipsw.
Unzip it.
Run this command, on a Mac:
dd if=009-7698-4.dmg of=ramdisk.dmg bs=512 skip=4 conv=sync
Open up the ramdisk.dmg. It will mount like a drive now. Go into /usr/local/standalone/firmware
The files are there.

Right ok, thanks. I use a PC but I can try and get hold of one to use. Just wanna ask a couple more questions
1) what files do I need exactly?
2) what command do I need to run for each file?
thanks again

Upload these files to /usr/bin
ICE03.14.08_G.fls
ICE03.14.08_G.eep
and find bbupdater and upload it there too.
Then run:
bbupdater -f ICE03.14.08_G.fls
and
bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep
-
where can i get the orginal ICE03.14.08_G.fls?
-
-
when i type bbupdater -f ICE03.14.08_G.fls
I got no such command 'bbupdater'
-
because you dont have bbuptader in the directory you are in.
Type "ls" without the quotes, it will give you a list of files you have in the directory you are in.
So this means, you either go to the correct directory or put the missing file.
