    Default Restore via iTunes enough???

    Hi all,

I just finished my 12th (!!!) try to unlock my iphone.. I don't even get the Failure-message anymore (btw, even then, a restart didn't help any), but the message
    COULDN'T FIND BYTES TO PATCH

    The FAQ says:
    Q: Couldn't locate byte...
A: Your firmware is already patched or modified or at leas tnot apple default of the fls, try a restore with bbupdater

My question: every time I start a new try, I restore the iPhone's FW to 1.0.2 via iTunes. Is that what is meant here, or is the restore not enough?
Also, when using Independence, I have to do the JAILBEAK twice. Once as part of the activation and then again to do the jailbreak as such. Both times I use the Folder with the downloaded Firmware. Does the jailbreak process alter anything within that folder? Do I have to do the second jailbreak with a new unziped Firmware?

    Thx!
    Eric

PS: I have NO idea what bpupdater is and how to use it. Google didn't help much...
