all you will have to repeat is the activtion process with let's say independecne for example... you will not have to unlock again

I had a similar situation - unlocked with anySIM1.1, activated with touchfree. Phone seemed unlocked but wouldn't pick up a signal. I restored. Unlock survived the restore and I was able to make calls after I jailbraked/activated with the dev team method. Now I've restored several phones that I jailbreaked/activated with the dev team method so I could use the jailbreakme.com method. Again, anySIM1.1 survived the restore. It even survives moving back and forth between 1.0.2 firmware and 1.1.1 (of course activation/jailbreak needs to be redone).

Huh, so even downgrading wont restore it to factory setup? I would really need to restore it completely coz i wont to go thru whole process again. Jailbreak and anysim.

You have to downgrade to 1.0.2 using the DFU mode and then upgrade again using independence.
