I broke my iphone and ebay'd a new used one. I received today an iphone that is fat, has a smaller screen, the connector is something which I have never seen before and I don't know where I'm supposed to put my sim card.

There is no serial number on the phone. It doesn't say designed by Apple in California or Assembled in China. Doesn't have a model number nor IMEI number. The back simply has an apple logo, says Iphone, 16GB, Bluetooth. That's all.

The box it came with says copyright 2007 and the serial number on the box says 83751T94WH8.

The picture on the box is like my old used iphone and doesn't match what the actual iphone looks like.

Did I get hosed? is there any reason at all that I might not want to report this to ebay and get my money back? This feels like a scam and I would REALLY AND TRULY appreciate any feedback regarding this from you, the community that loves and knows the iphone.

The screen is lcd I think where if I push the screen slightly it turns purple where I push. Like a calculator face if you know what I mean.

The settings menu has a pen calculation option and I can't zoom pictures.

The screen resolution and construction of this thing looks like it was constructed in 1980 predicting what they thought an actual iphone would be and look like.

Is there a chance that this is a real iphone?

definately, right? On what model iphone can you press the screen and it bends and you see colors? On what model iphone is there a stylus "pen"? Please someone tell me. I'd rather use a tmobile wing. I think I found a new level of hate for this person.

The instruction manual has on the face an apple logo and it says Phone, not Iphone.

well... similar but I can't believe it's genuine. this one is "2g" It has the fish in he lockscreen wallpaper. but the one in the link you sent me looks better. The volume controls are on the top. It has what I assume are the mike and speaker on the bottom and a 3rd speaker(?) on the back. File manager shows me that 505K of memory are used and 254K are free. that's not even 1M memory. this is supposed to be 16 gig. and ebay makes me wait 10 days before filing a dispute. I'm calling amex which I used through paypal.

F**k this guy. He's not getting away with this.
