Repair Needed: No IMEI, No wifi, no bluetooth
ok, I have an iPhone a friend gave me to fix. He is getting the message: "repair needed. iPhone cannot make or receive calls." The phone seems to have no service, no wifi, no imei, no bluetooth.
he was trying to unlock it using the geohotz method when it froze during the process and he had to reboot. Since then it has poped up that message. The phone was a 4.6bl but I used ziphone to attempt an unlock and baseband repair and I believe it also downgraded the bootloader to 3.9... People have told me that my problem was a corrupt baseband, and I thought that the answer to my problem was as simple as upgrading to 1.1.4 so it would flash over the new bb... I paciently waited till it was released and even after upgrading to 1.1.4 nothing has changed. Upon completion of the upgrade I get a error stating "an unexpected error occured." Still getting the same message and have no imei or anything. Just have the little picture of the cable on the screen saying to connect to itunes.
Ive tried restoring in DFU mode 4 times in a row... tried normal restore mode, tried just plugging it in and just hitting the restore button in itunes... same result.

ok, I tried it again(running ZiPhone 2.4 and selecting "erase 3.9 baseband" from the advanced features) and on the black screen with the scrolling white text when it starts running iEraser it says this
this tool erases your main fw, starting at 0x200000. You need this for the testpoint to work
you need a file called secpack matching your current firmware version in this forler
see http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com for instructions on finding tis file
waiting for data...
and it hangs there... I have to reboot into DFU mode and restore or else it gives me another error when I reboot... any ideas? BTW, I went to the website it tells me to go to and its just GeoHotz web blog...
Am I doing something wrong?

Tried doing it manually...Didn't work. :-( here is what I did
1) entered DFU mode and downgraded to 1.0.2 fw(did it twice in a row)
2) activated & jailbroke
3) used iBricker to install BSD subsystem and V100 Terminal since I have no wifi.
4) copied 1.1.4 secpack to usr/bin/.. Also copied ieraser and a couple other files to this directory.
5) killed commcenter and executed ieraser.
It started running then states after a couple lines of code.."you need a file called secpack matching your current firmware version in this folder see http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com for instructions on finding this file
waiting for data..."
now it just hangs there. I know I have the secpack there. What could be the problem?

I ran ziphone 2.5c DO IT ALL! and while it was on the black screen with the fast white scrolling text, the last thing I could make out was what appeared to be the following lines of code
umm this is bad...
waiting for data...
attempt...
attempt...
attempt...
and it continues to repeat the attempt command for eternity... a restore is required afterward.
Still no wifi, no imei, no nothing.... same thing happens when I try ziphone using the REFURBISH option...
any suggestions?

does that require the use of wi-fi on the phone cause I have none... or is that something that I can install via ibricker?
