Remove "Slide to unlock" screen
Hi guys,
Does anyone know a hack to remove the "Slide to unlock" screen that always appears when you turn the screen on? It's pretty annoying, as I keep my iPhone in a case (I guess most of us do!) so the likelihood of accidentally hitting a button and turning the phone on is pretty low. The likelihood of my phone actually ringing someone in the case accidentally is even lower, even if that screen was removed.
I'd love to get rid of it so that when I pressed either button I am taken straight away either to the screen I was in before or the springboard.
Anyone know of a hack/tweak/setting change available?
Thanks

that only keeps the phone from going to sleep. i think he means having the phone sleep but wakening up directly to the spring board when he pushes the home button. without having to "slide to unlock" and without having the phone on all the time.....

I do, that's exactly what I mean. When I turn the phone back on, that "slide to unlock" is really annoying me now! I know it looked good back in January when we saw it demo'd by Jobs, but actually you gotta admit it's pretty pointless. An object rubbing against the screen wouldn't work - it has to be warm flesh! That means the chances of your phone calling someone by mistake when in your pocket is virtually non-existent.
They should remove it. Or at least it should be optional...

The touch screen still works when touched through thin material, such as that of a t-shirt or the fabric used to produce pants pockets.
