I remember seeing some person on a forum a while back who swapped out his ipod hard drive for a whopping 3.5" drive. I thought this was cool, but completely worthless if you were to actually use it portablly.
I have no idea what this would entail, but that's why I'm asking, but is it even logistically possible to attach a small 2.5" or 1.8" HHD via dock connecter, and be able to use the drive as an expanded storage space for the iphone's music and video library?

I image the hurdles would be great, and probably not worth the effort, but with all the complaints about the small nature of the flash drives, how cool it would be to be able to just slip your phone into a special case, and have access to all or most of your media content?
