Apple had refurb 4GBs for $299 yesterday on their website. Looks like they are all sold out now. Anyone have experience with refurb iphones? Are they shipped in almost new condition or am i to expect some seriously banged/scratched up crap? Are they all preloaded with 1.1.1?

they are pretty much brand new. Mine came with not a single scratch on screen or anywhere else. Flawless.

Mine came with 1 scratch on the side, rest is perfect, it is still worth it...

Thats not a good price. I got my 4GB for $299 brand new from apple the day of the price drop.

Yeah we know but try getting a new 4GB at any store now.

for 50 more you can get double the memory. I'd say the 8gb is a better deal. They should have priced the 4GB at 249.

I've gotten 2 refurb iphones. both look flawless, though i suspect that something else might be up, such as lower batter life or something.

I got the one 4 gig for $399 right before the price drop, then they gave me $150 back, making it the cheapest iphone ever at $249.

The second one was a refurb 8 gig for $350.
