Default Questions for Rogers users in Canada regarding Voicemail (visual???)

I dont know what changed, but I recently started receiving SMS messages when someone leaves me a voicemail.

It doesnt actually say they have left a voicemail but I get a message that says:

    "WhoCalled" from +8888

It ONLY happens when the person leaves me a voicemail though, not if I simply miss a call.

Is this a sign that Rogers will soon have true visual voicemail? Or I am the only one seeing this?

I got that once, from a missed call.

Set up my voicemail, and now I dont get any at all, just the little voicemail notification in the bottom righthand.

Not sure what it is, research it more! I'd like to know as well.

I did some research on it, and apparently a lot of people get it. But no one really knows why.

I unlocked a buddies iPhone for him on Rogers and he doesnt get it. Unlocked the exact same way too.

I only get it, as I mentioned, when I get a voicemail.

    Very strange.

The WhoCalled is a feature from Rogers, I had mine removed as it's a pain in the ass. It sends the text messages even when calls come in when the phone is on, it would be a great feature if it only sent the text messages of calls that called your cell when it was turned off, this way when you turn your phone on you get a list/text of people that called you when your phone was off.

    Here's the description of WhoCalled:

WhoCalled is a service that sends you a text message with a list of phone numbers that have attempted to call you when your phone was turned off.

If you turn your phone off during meetings or for class, if you travel by plane and turn off your phone during flights, if you take the subway, use parking garages or elevators where you get no signal or if your friends and family don't like to leave voicemail messages you are missing calls!! Make sure you always know WhoCalled !
