With the impending update for the iPhone, I want to throw this question to those who already have iPhones. When applying the software update, does itunes force you to do it or do you still have the control to not update the iphone?

For the iPod, the user has the option to ignore the update if they wish to. I'm not sure if this is the same with the iphone.
