[Question] Logic Board Broken?

Hi,

I was just wondering how durable the iPhone logic board is. Because, apparently, I was able to kill my iPhone's screen, without even disassembling it. All I needed was a paper clip, and quite a lot of time.

So my explanation is... Paper clip >> iPhone? Kinda stupid.. When I tried to get warranty, they told me I had 3rd party programs on it, and because I wasn't activated, they wouldn't give me warranty. Since I don't live in the USA, I got my friend to do it, and she stupidly admitted to all of that. -_-

So yeah, I would just like to know if it is REALLY possible to fry a logic board with just a paper clip.

Of course it is. Hell, it's possible to fry the logic board completely through software, not even that difficult. Long story short, sucks for you and your friend, she just got your phone blacklisted.

There are plenty of sources for replacement parts, none of which are cheap, unfortunately. Doing part replacements is always a gamble to a certain extent as you are not really sure of exactly what is broken and the costs can quickly stack up to close to the price of a brand new phone.
