Default [Question] How to restore iPhone back to factory state?

My 2G iPhone is causing me problems at the moment and I want to take it into Apple so they can sort it out. However as it's unlocked I need to restore it back to it's original state.

How would I get the BL back to 4.6 so Apple don't realise that I unlocked it?

Would really appreciate any help you can give me.

If your running on 1.1.4 firmware you should see bootneuter in installer you can use that to flash back to 4.6 again then do a DFU restore to removed the jailbreak.

Or you could update to 2.2 fw then create a custom firmware with the 4.6 BL selected.

Think I'm running 1.1.3 - will that still have it?

Bootneuter 2.0 works on 1.1.4 & 2.0 firmware so mite be best you update to 1.1.4 then jailbreak with pwnage1.1 or iLiberty

Install bootneuter & flash the 4.6 BL back

Won't it work on 1.1.3 then? Am I best off not trying it either?

Ok, so the best thing to do is go into iTunes and restore my firmware to 1.1.4 then jailbreak/unlock it using Liberty+ then use Bootneuter?

Is that the quickest method? Sorry for all the questions, I appreciate your help.

Yes that should do the trick

Here's the iLib download link if you need it.

You don't really say what problems your iPhone is giving you, it seems to me you should update to 2.2 and see if they go away before taking the phone back. There are still threads covering 1.1.3 stuff in the fourm, just search a bit and you will find good advice on how to update safely or change bl back if that's what you want.
    Good luck

It's not a software problem I'm having - people are finding it hard to hear me when I'm on the phone, so maybe a problem with the mic? Not sure but I thought it best to take it back to Apple as it's quite bad.
