Question how to check the Bootloader?

Ok guys,
with all these stories about downgrade Bootloader from 4.6 to 3.9 (I think it's not time for that ... but this is just my opinion

), and with some unlock software that DO downgrade WITHOUT asking

(Ziphone 2.5) ... is it the case to explain how to check the bootloader in our iphone?

I don't know how to do this, and all posts that I found are quite old.

So can anyone explain how to do this check? Is it always the same in new 1.1.4 iphone?

if u're on mac, you can use independence. it show the bl version

I tried in both ways and both work.

And I'm happy to see that Im still in BL 4.6 after Ziphone 2.5 (unlock, activate) and after Ziphone 2.4 (unlock).

to check for bootloader... 1st of all make sure you are on a jailbroken Iphone and if you ate kindly add this as a source in the installer www.trejan.com/rep then install BBinfo under utilities. that will tell you bootloader info.

On the latest version of independence i cannot seem to find where it states your BL version. Or am i just being blind??

Best way to check BL ON iPhone is to add source http://www.trejan.com/irepo/ in sources in your installer, refresh it, and find little program under All Packages called Baseband Info, install it and it will give you your Bootloader version, your Firmware version along with some other stuff .... And bootloader is allways the same, either 3.9 or 4.6 (for 1.1.4 OOTB should be 4.6),and of course if you have 4.6 you CAN downgrade to 3.9 easily, but CAN NOT UPGRADE BACK EASILY (for now) ....
