Hi everybody. when I click on the installer icon on my iphone, it says on the bottom 97.5 MB available. I don't have anything on my iphone except the programs i used to unlock and activate it. According to itunes, it says that I have 7 GB of free space. Is there something wrong here? or am I not understanding something? Is there a set space reserved for programs only and another set space for only music, videos, etc? Thank you in advance.

Yes.

The apps and other OS files are on a disk partition mounted as /. It has a total of about 300MB available to it, but much of that is taken up by those apps and other OS files.

Your media is stored on a disk partition mounted as /var. Unless you modify the mount settings to remove the "noexec" flag, you cannot execute anything from this partition.
