Question about foreign iPhone languages
Hello there. :O
As a foreigner who's using iPhone, I was wondering if there's a way to make a keyboard of languages which uses 2-byte entries? If so, is there a way to get a keyboard 'lay out' from OS X and import to iPhone?
Well, by typing the contacts w/ my home language (Korean) from outlook express and syncing it w/ iPhone, I was able to see the contacts in Korean. Since iphone already has foreign fonts embedded within them, does this mean there's a way to input keyboard layout and use it to type foreign languages?
Please let me know. thank you all.

I think they're still working on languages. According to the screenshots I have seen of the new firmware, and from what I can find on the iPod Touch specs, they're offering international keyboard support for English, UK English, French, German, Japanese, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Polish, and Portuguese.
If they can offer support for Japanese, I'm sure it will be possible to have Korean. Personally, I'm hoping that they at least support Traditional Chinese because I travel to Hong Kong a lot and being able to text in Chinese will be blessing. I have been getting by using a javascriptlet that acts as a pinyin IME.

I tried to get SMS messages from my friends who uses Korean phones under verizonwireless and helio but neither of them worked.
I guess unless it's under same network corporation, foreign language text isn't supported.

I was kind of excited that for the first time ever Apple is offering iPods with Polish, I hope there will be a way of getting it for iPhone as well.
