I know that 1.1.2 isn't out yet so its impossible to say whether this will work or not, but I thought I'd ask anyways.

When someone purchased a 1.1.1 iPhone from Apple, were they able to downgrade the firmware to the previous release (1.0.2 I think) to then unlock the phone?

The reason why I'm asking is that I'll be ordering a phone and having it shipped to a US address and then picking it up and I want to see whether it would be beneficial to wait X number of days for the 1.1.2 firmware to come out and wait for it to be hacked.
