Question about clearance 4gb iPhones

I'm going to be purchasing one of the clearance 4gb iPhones directly from Apple, and am concerned about the new firmware update that was announced.

Now this might be a lame question, but will it still have it's original firmware? I can't imagine that they'd go to all the trouble to physically update them.

I intend to unlock it ASAP, so I just wanted to make sure I won't run into too many roadblocks.

If its from a store and its 4gb chances are that it will have the old firmware, since Apple decided to eliminate the 4gb.

Just bough another iPhone 4G, it's shipped with 1.02 firmware already.

Guys, is the 4 gigs still have stock at any Apple Store? I tried to get my sis to buy 1 for me but she said all out of stock for 4gigs iPhone.

Any advise?

check the apple store online (down right now for updates...) but when i checked this morning they had a small button on the RIGHT side that was for purchasing 4gb iphones off clearence. goodluck

Ya, when online just now but didn;t see any 4gigs for sale, just 8gigs. Can you post the link?

Looks like the guy who ordered 5 cleared them out!

The store's been updated and there are none left.
