    Pslink:

Thanks from all I'm sure, for your time putting together the tutorial. Parker has just confirmed my kit is on it's way which i should receive by tuesday.

Is it not possible to just use NIndpendence 1.1.1 which has a pretty nice gui to do the same thing without having to use command line instructions and moving files etc.

    Just a thought.

Yes iNdependence 1.1.1 should work with both iTunes 7.3 and 7.4, but make sure it is 1.1.1, I think it autodetects which version of iTunes you are running and Jailbreaks accordingly.

Well the command line is just for those who do it with iTunes 7.3. I forgot that iTunes 7.3 can also use the new Independence!! MAN..... 2 hours went to waste making that old tutorial when I could've just made 1 and it would work for all versions. Crap... crunchingnumbers.... thanks for pointing that out, i feel stupid...

All done. iTunes 7.3 and 7.4. The instructions are fool-proof. Step-by-step with pictures. If you guys can't follow this tutorial. Don't hack your iphones at all, you don't know what you're doing!!

good job Pslink. It doesn't get any easier than that. We should all be grateful to the contributors like yourself and other's that provide feedback on the solutions posted.

It will be interesting to see if i can switch to my legit AT&T sim in slot 2 and how it works for switching between the two. I'll keep Parker and the thread posted as he wasn't sure if that would work or not. If it does, then it will be a better solution for me personally than a SW or hardware unlock.

Thanks PSLink for the info. I placed my order on Thursday from hypercard.com because of the info you have supplied. I should be receving it monday or tues and look foward to finally being able to use my iphone. ive had it laying around since June. I'm currently using itunes 7.3. Which do you think would be the best way to do it. Should i follow the 7.3 instructions or use idependence1.1. Or would it be better to upgrade to 7.4 and use independence. Thanks again for your valuable contributions
