why dont you use the devs unlock tool? Much easier then pss sim kit.

I just wanted to give you a word of warning. I unlocked by 4gb iPhone yesterday afternoon using the PSS Sim Kit. It worked well for one evening, however it became unstable (a few freezes) and today I lost my Wifi option.

I have emailed PSLINK (who posted the original how-do on his blog) and hope that he can come back to me to tell me how to fix it. I haven't heard back from him yet (probably due to time differences as he seems like a really helpful guy).

The unlock works great and is really simple to follow... however, WiFi is one of the coolest things about the iPhone and believe me, you don't want to lose that option. I would hold off on using the PSS Sim until this issue is resolved.

Don't follow the how-to ... Just use the latest idependence ! Then you will never have a problem with losing the wifi. The hypercard/pss kit just fakes anj AT&T sim .... the problem robabb is having is a problem due to unlocking ...

Robabb .. DE-ACTIVATE your iphone, restore it, re-activate with the latest unlocking programs (independence, ...) then it will solve the problem !

robabb, I didn't receive any email from you... Anyways, I haven't encountered that problem before ever, because when I was using that kit, I always used FUGU to move files back and forth in my phone and it works perfectly fine. I don't have a real solution to your problem, but my SUGGESTION would be to restore, then activate with the latest INdependence. Thats how I do it now. No more hassles about jailbreak and what not anymore. Just right away activate phone on INdependence 1.2.1, it'll do everything. You should've lose your WiFi. Sorry I can't be of anymore help. My iPhone haven't given me any problem except minor things. Cheers..

I now have my WiFi restored and working!
