Problems reconnecting with Itunes due to services.plist file
Ok, I did the iASign to unlock my phone to the ATT/cingular network with my old cingular sim card and everything worked great. The last part of it though when you add the services.plist to the phone I totally forgot to do in my excitement. Now it will not connect to itunes, and I cannot get the jailbreak program to detect my phone anymore. Does anyone have an idea on what I can do to fix my problem? Thanks

If you can not jailbreak even after rebooting the computer, rebooting the phone and most importantly disconnecting the usb cable and reconnecting, then you need to restore. Maybe there is a simpler solution, I don't know.

Ok I fixed it. I had to call apple to find out how to restore without it connecting back to the itunes to do it. It has its own restore already there. Here is what you do
1. Hold the home button(circular button with a square printed on it) down when you connect it to your computer and continue to hold it until the yellow yield sign comes up. It will then factory restore without having to connect to itunes to do it! Then redo the whole iASign stuff and you are good to go. DONT forget the services.plist file. I hope that helps

I can get my iPhone working on another sim but when I try to sync iTunes shows 300mb storage capacity for my iPhone. I know this probably has to do with Step 18 putfile Services.plist.
When i try and type that I get the following error:
iPhoneInterface(771,0xa000d000) malloc: *** Deallocation of a pointer not malloced: 0x90b2f38c; This could be a double free(), or free() called with the middle of an allocated block; Try setting environment variable MallocHelp to see tools to help debug
or sometimes I get this error:
Problem with AFCFileRefOpen: 12
Anytime I attempt to do this command the phone works however I am not able to sync to iTunes at all because it gives me an error. If I just skip this step the phone works and I can sync however I am limited to 300MB.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Make sure your services.plist file is in the phonedmg file not on the desktop, then it will work!

Make sure there is no space at the end of the line:
"putfile Services.plist"
That screwed it up for me. If you get stuck completely reinstall by connecting the iPhone to that pc after putting the iPhone in service mode.

Im getting an error message "The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be used with iTunes because the IMEI is incorrect. So basically everything is working fine, excluding the fact that I cant sync it with iTunes. I tried the last thing you guys said about the services.plist being in the right spot and it was.. Anyone help please?

I got so many emails about people missing the services.plist in step 18, I had to tweak the instructions and help a lot of people out via mail fixing their sync issues.
I do appreciate the input to make something better though.
