Default [Problem] [Solved] BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0. Iphone doesn't works.

I purchased a new Out of the Box Iphone from Apple via American Express 2G which I was able to unlock/activate/jailbreak using Ziphone which worked flawlessly until now...

I just purchased my wife an iphone off of ebay which and while I was attempting to activate/jailbreak/unlock, I accidently had my old iphone plugged in...I immeadiatley unplugged iphone and now all phone shows is:

    BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0

this goes on for line after line, after line...

I searched like crazy but could find where someone had used a products like ziphone on a previously jailbroken iphone...

Any help would be VERY much appreciated as now my previously working phone is not working...Thanks...

Try to connect it in DFU mode:

    Then continue with this:

You can go to latest and greatest 2.2 firmware with those instructions...
After restore follow the other link & it's instructions...

OK Thanks very much to egoste!!!

FOR MY OLD IPHONE THAT WAS WORKING FINE UNTIL MY BONE HEAD MISTAKE...
I was able to put in recovery mode and then restore back to 1.1.4 and then used ziphone GUI to JailBreak/Activate/Unlock...Now I just have to customize back and all will be good...

Now onto my original issue before my blunder...

I have a used Iphone 2G (he had accidently recently upgraded to version 2. something....that I purchased from an authorized AT&T customer...It is currently in recovery mode (shows only iTunes and USB (not iphone side of cord) on the screen...Occassionally keeps switching between that an apple logo...

Also, because it is in recovery mode of some kind, I am unable to determine what the current firmware is?

Itunes doesnt recognize it...I have tried but to no avail to get itunes to recognize using the same steps as listed below which worked on my other iphone...Any thoughts????

Why don't you try with these and get up to 2.2 activated and unlocked?

Yes, I have tried all of these...I have held home and sleep and get a greyish screen that sticks, when I plug into computer with itunes open, the computer does indeed recognize that hardwarer has been found, the error was that there was a problem and the hardware might not work correctly...

Another ballon box popped up on the bottom and said something to the effect of "iboot" or something like that...

I am starting to think that maybe it is because my itunes version on my computer is 7.6.1.9 and the guy who I purchased the used Iphone from was using a higher version of itunes and obviously firmware 2.2....

I will download new version of Itunes on wifes computer and see if that makes any difference...

If anyone else has ideas, let me know.
