Default Problem restoring to firmware 1.0.2

    Hello!

I had a problem a few hours ago while installing the installer app
I'm getting the "please connect to iTunes" triangle
so... i need to restore i'm afraid... (i was running 1.0.2 FIRMWARE on an unlocked iPhone)

the thing is that when i click (on a mac) apple/option-key + restore i get this message:

    >> are you sure you want to restore...//...the newest version of the iPhone software will be installed <<

so, i don't get this option to choose for firmware versions...

and of course i'm too chicken to click on the < restore and update > button

    i have iTunes 7.4.1

can anyone help me, i'm afraid to press the restore and update button...
or do i get the option to choose which firmware i want to install AFTER pressing the restore and update button?
or does this only work in the latest version of itunes? I have 7.4.1

thanks for anyone helping me out here!

    Cheers! GJ

Disconnect from internet before do the restore, this way in case of you mess it up, at least it will not download the new firmware

yes, but restore won't work when not online,
i just found out you need to press ALT + Restore!
    not option+restore..

    that solved it!

    My iPhone is smiling again!

and after restoring the unluck is still working

    thanks!

Unplugg the iPhone, Restart Windows, open iTunes, and then plug the iPhone
