Default [Problem][Restore Mode] iPhone wont restore

Well earlier today I decided to let my brother take charge and restore my 1.1.4 16gb iPhone. I told him to restore to the latest firmware. Little did I know he googled for the latest firmware and restored to 1.2-5a240d. Now my phoen doesnt let me do anything and is at a purple restore screen and will only let me make the emergency call and iTunes says my phone must be registered for part of iPhone DevTeam and some other stuff along those lines.

So I booted the phone in recovery mode and shift+click "restore" and choose my fresh 1.1.4 firmware and i always get an error at "Preparing iPhone firmware for restore" (the part after itunes extracts files at beginning of restore)

Now I'm no noob to iPhones, and I've tried every possible way to try to restore and none seem be close to working. Is it possible that a file may be corupt for restore mode thus giving me my problems???

ANY HELP FROM DEVTEAM WOULD BE BEST SINCE ONLY WAY FOR MY PHONE TO WORK IS IF ITS REGISTERED WITH U GUYS

    Default Same here...

I've got the same (similar), just with 5A258f:

Since I have upgraded to 5A258f, iTunes does not install any iPhone Software below 5A258f anymore.

For example, if I try to install 1.1.4, it says it's preparing the iPhone for Software upgrade... the iPhone reboots, and stops at the recovery screen (Connect to iTunes-thingy)

And I have tried ZiPhone for rebooting into normal mode, nothing happens...
It says it's searching for an iPhone...and nothing seems to happen

iTunes recognizes it, but, as I said, can only restore the hated 5A258f Software.

Note: iTunes does not display the iPhone at all if the MobileDevice.framework from the recent iPhone SDK is not installed.

Alright so I dont know if this is a problem or not, but i restarted my computer and phone and tried to restore again, and it worked... well not COMPLETELY. My phone restored all the way up to the part where iTunes says "Veryifying iPhone software" and it encounters an error at that part. When i rebooted my phone it was in recovery mode so i used ZiPhone to boot to normal mode and it worked!

Here comes the crazy part. I went to my settings and checked the details about my phone, and i noticed that my firmware version is 1.1.4, but my modem firmware is 04.05.01_G instead of 04_0405_G as a 1.1.4 should be.

Is this a bad thing or good?

my phone works, but it is unable to be jailbroken.

so it looks like I either have to use it LEGIT till my plan is up, or wait til Apple releases the 2.0 Firmware to the public as an update....

looks to me like either way, im f****d

alright so i've been trying to jailbreak my phone and nothing works. so today after school, i came home and download the latest version of iPhone PC Suite and when i started it it took me to a site that had a pop-up saying...

now this really means something is terribly wrong with my phone because I have a fresh install of 1.1.4 and have only used ZiPhone to boot my phone in normal mode.

    Suggestioins anyone???
