(Problem)iPhone won't restore after getting wet
I read the postings about restore problems but still can not get my iPhone to restore.
This is what happened.
I was camping and my iPhone got wet during a water balloon fight. My iPhone would not turn on and I kept pressing the different buttons and nothing happened.
This is what happened next.
1. I placed the iPhone on the charger the next day and it showed that the battery was totally discharged. I let the iPhone charge and then it displayed an arrow with the iTunes icon.
2. I connected my iPhone to my MAC. iTunes does recoginize the iPhone with as a generic name, "iPhone" and says that it needs to restore. I click on the restore and it says "preparing iphone for restore" and then just hangs with the message "waiting for iPhone".
3. Also, I notice that the iPhone will continue to reboot and just displays the arrow with the iTunes icon.
4. I installed iTunes on my second computer (PC) and the same thing happens. The iPhone just hangs.
Is there a way to restore my iPhone or to get it to a normal state? Do you think I could have corrupted or damaged the baseband, bootloader or firmware?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Allan
