i'm encountering a problem maybe someone here can help me, i've tried to search in the forum with no luck.
i have an iphone 1.02 simfree unlocked and i want to install the apptapp but everytime i launch the application and choose the firmware version, a message popps up saying "download failed: download incomplete" .

Are you using a PC or a Mac?

There is a thread here that might help. It suggests running AppTap again if you get the error you described

yeah i'm using a pc vista, tried xp didnt work same problem. the thing is that it starts to download the 1.02 firmware and after less then a second the message popps and says download failed. no matter how many times i try. so frustrating cause i want those 3rd party apps.

You could get round it by using iBricker, install SSH and then put the Installer.app in the the /Applications folder. I'm not sure how to do it on the PC but there are plenty of tutorials out there http://cre.ations.net/creation/ibrickr
