Cool! Didn't know you could edit those files. Wouldn't it be great if we could compile a universal dictionary between ourselves, so that hopefully we'd have clever predictive text. We could then restore these files easily when forced to do a restore. I hate teaching the dictionary over and over. Again, I like the idea of us all contributing to a universal dict. Not quite sure how it would work but if it required someone maintaining and updating it, I'd be happy to step up to the plate. Thoughts all??

Great work! I copied the file to /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/ and it works!!!
Looks like some short words are still English (a, an, the etc) but now the annoying longer ones are Dutch. I like it!!!
Just copied using WinSCP, no restart, nothing.

Hi, I copied the German dictionary files to my iPhone. It seems to work.
But it only works for the auto correction.
Is'nt the english dict. auto ceompleting too?

Does auto complete work for the other dict languages? Maybe it's only the German dict that isnt completing.
I have seen, that the spanish dict is almost 1MB big, but the german only got 79 kb.
    Could this be the reason?

    Thank you

    Exclamation

I use the german dictionary and it works great so far. But I have still problems with some corrections, so the german "es" is always corrected as "we". Can I delete this "we" out of the dictionary?? I also tried to learn the "es" word in to my iPhone, but it still suggest "we" for correction.

    Any solutions??

    Chris

PS: There are also problems when I use "ÄÖÜ"...
