it seems you open another application at the same time? like jailbreak, putty, or winscp?
why you want to use this firmware, is it belong to 1.0.2 or 1.0?

    Default Same problem here!

I am having the exact same problem.

I don't know what else could be open. I have nothing else open not even ibrickr.

Any ideas how to get bbupdater to work??

    Thanks

You need to turn off commmanager.
Either delete the file /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist (make sure you keep a copy of this file). The reboot

    or run the command:
    launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

Let me mknow how you go...
