[Windows Method] for iUnloc_reloaded

Before i start & not to step on anyone's toes... the method I use is a combination of many other methods as well as the iPhone dev team's files etc...

[Method to this Madness]

First: Pre-reqs

(AS STATED IN THE OTHER THREAD)

Phone will need to be activated & jailbroken

Skipped Step 6 (apptapp installation)
and part way to step 8 (didn't transfer the install program over)

Second: Preparation

a) use iBrickr >appplications install> install the "Installer"
b) reboot iPhone, open "Installer" icon, install: Community Services, BSD Subsystems, OpenSSH (the BSD subsystems will take a minute so be patient), MobileFinder, the vt100 terminal program

while waiting for the above u can:

c) Download " iUnlock_Reloaded.zip " (search the other thread)
d) Unzip to a directory (there should be 3 files)
f) Go here and download the .eep file (use 3.14 for the current 1.0.2 firmware) http://www.djjeffa.com/vb/showthread.php?p=100869
g) From the original iUnlock zip you will need "bbupdater" ".fls" file (should be the same name and version as the .eep file above.

h) go back to iBricker and create a root directory called "unlock"
i) transfer all 6 files above to the unlock directory

Third: unlocking it

On The Iphone:

a) run vt100 (it should load and look like putty) (u will get a # prompt)
b) type: cd /unlock/
c) type:
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
d)type: ./bbupdater -f *.fls -e *.eep
e)type:
launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
f)type: ./iUnlock_reloaded

everything should work... i will update this thread with the correct links for stuff in a lil bit...

i changed up the info to suit a windows comp..

Pretty much you could use either apptapp or ibrickr it really doesnt matter. Ibrickr would need you to manually hold the home and power button and other stuff. Apptapp is more automated that just requires you to click and set. I prefer apptapp over ibrickr for that

Just follow instructions above for the rest of the steps.

If it worked, and says your iPhone is unlocked, you're done. If not, read on.

If it says that the flash went ok, but the unlock failed, do this:

Get the bbupdater, ICE03.14.08_G.fls and ICE03.14.08_G.eep look around the forum you should find both of the files. Place these files in /usr/bin
Run putty and..

1. cd /usr/bin
2. launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
3. chmod +x bbupdater
4. bbupdater -f ICE03.14.08_G.fls
5. bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep
6. launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

you shouldnt need to restore the ipod again just run iunlock again

7. cd /unlock
8. ./iUnlock_reloaded

it should work tried the same thing on a phone i unlocked.

thanks for repeating what i just posted? (aside from apptapp preference)

basically out of 9 phones all 9 of my phones show's not unlocked w/ simple method... so i just wrote it default requiring the additional 3 files...

apptapp does not work 100% of the time (trust me after 20+ iphones u will see some nuances)

why waste time unlocking to find out it won't unlock completely... just to run the other part and reunlock again... why not just skip that and go thru the "not unlocked" routine...
