wifi from my wired notebook to my iphone?
a question for you
I have a dsl internet connection at home, but my router is wired (no wifi) and my only notebook is wired as well. so no wifi here at home.
Now i have my iphone and i would like to use it at home. so i need a wifi connection.
A new wifi router will cost me about 50$ here.......while a usb or pcmcia wifi adapter only 10$.
My question is: can i use my internet connection which gets into my notebook through the wire, then transmitting wifi signal from notebook just plugging in it a simple usb or pcmcia adapter?
Will this work? Is this possible? Do i need a particular software to manage this? Can i buy a simple usb wifi dongle or i need a particular transmitting one?
Up to now I only thought of wifi adapters to be used to send and receive data from a wifi router in order to RECEIVE internet data......now I would use that in order to TRANSMIT internet data......received before through the wire....
Thanx for answering this (maybe stupid) question....
Take care to all!
