Voicemail Notifications now working on 1.1.1 with "SMS Fix" in installer

My voicemail button has always had the constant red dot over it so I never knew when I would recieve new voicemails. I was told that there is a new app in installer called "SMS Fix" that uses the patched phone app from 1.1.2 and installs it on your 1.1.1. Apparently this fixes the voicemail notification problem on 1.1.1.

Has anyone tried this yet? Any problems/side effects/bugs?

I might be a little paranoid, but from my understanding this fix replaces the 1.1.1 phone app with the 1.1.2 patched phone app. Now, what happens when I want to upgrade my 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 later? Will this cause a conflict?
