Does anyone knows if it is possible to synchronize the Iphone with a Mac using Isync instead of Itunes?
I know this might be a silly question, but why do you want to do so?
Not silly at all.
Just I want to bypass any relationship with Itunes, probably there will be an update and my iphone could be locked again. Also Isync is very fast and works great with other phones.
The short answer is that while it is likely possible to do so, it would require somebody to actually develop an iSync plug-in for the iPhone, which does not presently exist. Further, it would also still likely required tethered synchronization (via USB) rather than working wirelessly over Bluetooth (although I suppose a companion application could be written for the iPhone itself to provide Bluetooth sync.
At this point, however, I am not aware of any such applications, so it's not really a practical solution. That having been said, though, syncing with iTunes should be relatively low-risk in terms of future updates. iTunes does not normally force firmware updates upon you, and an iTunes update itself is unlikely to re-lock your iPhone, since it would require a new firmware on the iPhone itself to do so.
It's possible at some point in the future that this could change, but this has not been the traditional approach to firmware updates for anything else that syncs with iTunes -- the user is normally prompted and given a choice. The more likely possibility is that you may at some point be told by a future iTunes update that you can no longer sync an older firmware version, but that's not typical either.
Thanks for your replay. Anyway should be nice to have some day such in Isync plug in and the application for bluetooth synchronization with the Iphone.
