Unlocked and on AT&T - Will they care?

Okay, my iphone is unlocked, but my provider is AT&T.

I am trying to get signed up for the data plan, but I have no intention of extending my contract for another 2 years via a formal iPhone activation.

Should I be concerned? Should I expect them to raise the issue?

it'll be fine. they wouldnt know that its unlocked anyway.

I would like to know if this works, cause I plan to enroll with At&t, but don't want the iphone only plans. If I signup for an at&t plan with corporate discount and swap out the sim into my iphone, wouldn't that be a way to save a lot of money?
