Does anyone know which UK networks use EDGE? Also, do any (which have edge) offer an unlimited data transfer contract? If so please post a message here. :)

No network in the uk offers edge, its predominantly us carriers that have edge on there networks. T-mobile offer unlimited browsing with web'n'walk in the uk.Quote:

I think that orange have a limited edge support, but all the others went straight from GPRS to 3g (hsdpa). But from what I've heard the speed of some of the GPRS isnt to shoddy, its no 3g but you could live with it, and yeah t-mobile give you up to 3gb i think, better than vodafones piddly 120mb per month.
Orange has EDGE.
I am using my unlocked iPhone with turboSim on Orange PayGo.
Only Orange has edge in the UK as far as I know - however I would also check out Three since both Orange and Three are owned by HutchinsonWampoa they might piggybacking on each others network?
Orange have EDGE and are now owned by France telecom
but if you have the iphone on orange pay as you go, each time you connect to the net you will be paying money or is it free?
