Is there a way to turn off the 18+ filter on the iPhone's You Tube app?
Anything marked 18+ does not appear on the search results and i cant find a settings option to resolve this.

U naughty boy.... :)
I think you can setup your youtube account's filter with your computer and then use your account on your phone.
Funny question anyway  :D
if you mean THAT lol then i didnt know it was allowed
but i love racing, and i have seen crash compilations which are fatal
HaHa, no really though some of the best stuff on you tube is 18+, all it take is for a few heads to be offended and the thing goes 18+. There are some good stand up scenes that are 18+ cause of the content . When i do a search id like for all results to be shown not just the one's my iPhone deems acceptable. Anyway if i wanted porn youTubes the last bloody place id look.
I thought about changing my YouTube account settings but the iPhone never asked for an account so that will hardly work.
Im stunned no one else has noticed or queried this yet.
How about setting up the filter off in youtube on iPhone's Safari ?
Sorry XianLi not following you, i cant see a filter searches option in the safari settings.
Connecting/login to youtube.com with your iPhone's Safari, search for the movie you want to see and confirm your birth date.
Then Youtube.app will open and play your "naughty" video :D
Cheers but i figured that out, i just want to be able to bypass safari and use the YouTube app as i presumed it was intended. It's obviously pre setup to filter any 18+ content which seems a bit pointless to me seen as though Safari isn't. And it's not about "naughty" flicks as you put it, it's about being able to access all my search results with out apple pre approving it first. If the f**k or C**t shows up more than a couple of times or there is any other mildly offensive material (visual or verbal) the the do-gooders get it slapped with an 18 cert.
it must be in a file somewhere in the iphone, someone must know what to edit
