Is there a connection between the firmware and the constant power supply?
There's one thing I noticed about the iPhone that no one seems to be talking about. The battery is soldered in providing a constant source of power to the phone. I wonder if killing the power by removing the battery and shorting the leads of the phone to drain any other power would allow for a "reset" of the memory so it could at least be worked with.
Isn't that something similar to how they designed Pandora's battery for the PSP brick hack?
