AT&T Prepaid Service Question

Does anyone know if you enter 999 etc. as a SSN if you upgrade FW that if AT&T will activate the iPhone as prepaid? I thought I might have read that AT&T stop offering it for the iPhone?

UPDATE: I hopped over to the At&T forum and it seems to indicate that if you fail the credit check you can still get prepaid, but with a mandatory Data Plan too.

I heard a while back that at&t promped you to call them if you entered 999 or 111or ect..., hope that helps.
